Innovation and international growth
Founded in 2008, Basalte remains in family hands. The team is composed of over 70 employees. With its own sales staff in the Benelux, Germany, France and the United States, Basalte is strongly focused on international growth.
One of Basalte´s objectives is constant innovation. With 20 in-house engineers, the Belgian company remains at the cutting edge and has earned a unique position in the market. Simplicity, transparency, focus and sustainability are the main pillars.
Basalte in France
Basalte has been active in France for six years. The PACA and Rhône-Alpes regions are already handled by a local duo. By contrast, the Paris region, which also offers great potential, has been handled until now by a Belgian account manager. To achieve Basalte´s growth ambition, « get closer to the market » and increase efficiency, the company is now opting to entrust this position to a local person from the region.
Job description
Your mission
To make Basalte grow in the Île-de-France (IDF) region, you will actively bring the brand to the attention of architects focusing on the high-end segment of the residential market and develop a collaboration with the integrators and installers who work with them.
Architects, interior decorators and installers
Basalte´s line is oriented towards the high-end segment of the residential market. Basalte products are therefore present in the world´s most exclusive villas and super yachts. A lot of time generally goes by between the initial elaboration of such a project and the final installation of the products, so proper follow-up is key!
You will concentrate primarily on architects, interior designers, real-estate promoters and decorators active in this high-end segment. Armed with your enthusiasm and good counsel, you develop a high-quality network within this community and make sure that Basalte products are increasingly specified. You are also in contact with the integrators and installers who work together with them and install the products. You establish a long-term relationship with these technical specialists and foster the collaboration´s development. You get potential customers and specifiers enthusiastic for everything Basalte has to offer! To do so, you hold demonstrations and invite them to the showroom in Ghent (Belgium).
You are a natural networker and enthusiastic about seeking new contacts and projects. You regard the follow-up of leads and project requests, the drafting of a proposal and the management of contact and project data in our CRM system as an added value for your daily work.
Local ambassador
On average you will work one day a week from home. The other four days you will be out at your (potential) specifiers, customers and projects. You enjoy such autonomy. You work independently in your region, while at the same time having many contacts with colleagues. You are not alone. You operate as Basalte´s eyes and ears in France. You report to the Sales and Marketing Director. In addition, you come to Belgium for showroom visits with customers, events and other occasions. You also represent the company during international trade fairs, events and customer visits. You participate in sales meetings several times a year.
Your profile
What are we looking for?
- An enterprising, passionate and driven individual.
- Capable of planning his/her days and weeks autonomously and following up multiple projects and contacts at the same time.
- Capable of successfully selling the Basalte experience.
- Preferably having a background in the construction, lighting or interior sectors.
- Experience with Parisian (interior) architects and other decision-makers in the construction or interior sector would be a definite plus.
- Affinities with technology and design.
- No hesitations about immersing yourself in the technical details of the products.
- A person demonstrating openness, empathy, patience and a long-term result orientation.
- Good command of English.
- Residing in the Paris region.
- Participating in networking events and trips abroad for trade shows are not a problem.
