A renovated villa in perfect balance

Surrounded by the flourishing forests of Amerongen, the Netherlands, this home is deeply connected to its natural setting. The shifting tones of spring, summer, autumn and winter are subtly woven into the interior palette, allowing the villa to move in quiet rhythm with the landscape outside.

Once a hunting lodge and later a guesthouse, the property had long served as a private residence before undergoing a full renovation. With a new extension and a spacious lower ground floor, the home was expanded for contemporary living.

Step into this inviting and characterful home where every detail matters. The way the light falls, the space feels and everything simply works. With Basalte Home, this captivating home responds intuitively. No distractions. Just effortless comfort, allowing life to take centre stage.

atmosphere orchestrated with a single gesture

Beyond the pivot doors, the living space unfolds as one harmonious whole. A structural wall was transformed with pantry storage on one side and an illuminated wine cabinet on the other. The kitchen island with its marble-veined worktop stands in quiet contrast to darker oak cabinetry, while a solid oak dining table near expansive windows invites long, relaxed evenings.

Here, the Basalte Sentido design switch in beautiful bronze finish effortlessly orchestrates the atmosphere. With just a single gesture, the lighting shifts and ambient music starts playing. Intelligent technology remains invisible, creating comfort, clarity and ease without ever demanding attention.

hidden level in harmony with its surroundings

One of the home’s most surprising spaces lies below ground, opening directly onto the tranquil garden beyond. The custom-coloured lava stone resin floor anchors the space, while American walnut cabinetry shapes the kitchen. A dining table for eight, a lounge with four armchairs and a moss-green rug subtly echo the surrounding forest.

In brushed black, the Basalte Sentido design switch remains quietly present, bringing comfort and control without ever demanding attention. Because the best technology is the one you barely notice.

offering a calm retreat for effortless living

The upper floors host the family’s private quarters, where the master bedroom captures the calm comfort of a boutique hotel while remaining deeply personal. Soft textures and natural materials create a serene atmosphere, with woodland views gently framing the space.

In this bedroom where design meets stillness, the Basalte Sentido design switch in bronze adds intuitive ease, turning comfort into a feeling. The en-suite bathroom continues the sense of calm with an organically shaped bathtub and refined stone finishes, while a walk-through closet connects both spaces, forming a private retreat designed for comfort and intuitive living.
